I’ll use Zubin’s favorite request to introduce the next post.

My lovely wife, Zubin and I are expecting a second addition to our family. Due date March 8, 2007.

The decision to have a second child is as joint a decision in principle as the first. What I realized is that while both husband and wife can (and should) agree in principle, the timing of this is not exactly a point of contribution for Dad. Considering that the biological impact on a woman’s body and the amount of activity it creates (you actually become friends with the fetus), the decision was basically announced to me.

The first time was a bit different, much more of a “when should we?” type of discussion. Whereas this one was more of a “let’s go”.

It’s been a tough couple of weeks with this development in the pipeline, amongst the other responsibilities.
